Do You Like Blogger?

I am currently trying to decide which blogging platform I would like to use. Although I know a lot of people prefer Wordpress, I am really leaning toward Blogger. I like how it comes with a Google Adsense account off the bat and that it is easy to use, and I like how it is linked to Google+...seems like that will help a bit with marketing and SEO. I am basically a newbie...I have a lot of OLD experience in website design, HTML, etc., but a lot of things have changed since then, so I am also liking the fact that Blogger just seems a bit easier. Does anyone have any opinions?

When updating wordpress version was still a pain in the ass, I move to blogger because I don't want to configure every time I have to update. But when I knew that wordpress is easier because of their newer version, I move back. ITs also because blogger deleted one of my tech blog which I tried developed over months.

I use Wordpress on a self hosted site for my blogs. I believe Blogger is quite Wordpress-like in use though. However, I don't like their restrictions, and Blogger is also blocked in China, where I live, so that's a bit of a nono too.

I use both, I have a few blogs on Blogger and I also have a self hosted Wordpress blog. I really like them both, but as I am learning Wordpress a little more I am finding that there are a lot more things you can do with it over Blogger.

Blogger is great tho and I have been there since 2007. You can do a lot with it and if you don't plan on moving your site off of Blogger, you can purchase a domain name through them (it is actually with GoDaddy but Google handles the process) for $10 a year instead of paying more. Also with your own domain name through Blogger, you still get the free hosting.

Wordpress has more plugins available and more flexibility to do what you want. So it is hard to say, I do like both platforms. Blogger is easier to learn tho.

I didn't know they were blocked in China. Can you visit blogs that are on Blogger or is it that you just can't use it to publish blogs? Just wondering if people in China would be able to view my blogs that are hosted through Blogger.

I've never used Wordpress so I can only say from the point of view of someone who has just used Blogger, but I am very satisfied with their service. Everything is achievable with a few clicks and all of the mechanics are simple and easy to pick up. The easy adsense integration is great as well, and also the fact that it's easily connectable to all of your other Google services which saves me a bit of stress with having to log into each one every time. I'd highly recommend it, especially to people like me who are easily overwhelmed with things that aren't as simple as they could be. :D

Many suggested me to start blogging on Wordpress platform. But I really struggled with it and hence I turned towards blogger. There after I didn't try Wordpress again and I had sticked with Blogger platform. In my opinion Blogger is more user friendly than Wordpress. I recommend blogger for the starters.

I love blogger because it was the first blogging platform I ever used, and that's where I keep my personal blogs. I'd not use it for a project that required a more profesional feel and look, I'd pick WP instead. Blogger is great for people who are just starting or people who only like to blog as a hobby. This platform is one of the most user friendly ones out there, that's the main reason I liked and still like blogger.

Blogger is fine if you are lazy and don't mind being limited to what themes and plugins you can use, I'd always recommend switching to Wordpress as it is the BEST blogging platform around.

It was in Blogger that i first learned the nuts and bolts of blogging. I remember how happy i was to see my four blogs published on the web. The act of learning itself, how to connect your pages to your home page, seeing your blogs monetized by Adsense and others you are affiliated with, i experienced it on Blogger, and that alone makes me more than liked Blogger.

I myself personally use Blogger, its not amazing and the .blogspot is pretty unprofessional but I'm used to it and its very use friendly. No complaints from me.

I like blogger and wordpress. Blogger for personal use like simple personal blogging but for commercial use I prefer Wordpress since you get full control and there is no any risk of data loss.

Blogger is also good but you need to host images on external server so If google remove it then you can move to wordpress and restore your post.

(You can take a backup of your blogger post but If you host image on external server then it will be good for you)
