Yahoo or Google??

Google is the most Preferred Search Engine and People do most of the searches on Google instead of Yahoo. Is it mean that Google a more reliable Search Engine & Yahoo is not? What are your opinions?

I think Google has maximised its potential in terms of having been able to market themselves to such a point that it has become instinctive for a person to think of Google when it comes to searching. I am not sure how many of you say this when you don't know something - "Google it..." - to say that the person would need to go online and search for what that thing is. In terms of Google being more reliable than Yahoo...I don't necessarily think that one denotes the other...it's just that Google is more widely used.

Yes, I think Google is a lot more reliable. I don't think I've ever been satisfied with the search results at Yahoo and I'm just glad that Google became what it is today because I can still remember back then when we didn't have much any other options and it was so hard to do research. I think Yahoo still has a lot more going for it though, since they still have Yahoo! News and Yahoo! Answers which I love.

Google is more reliable, however I use all search engines when I test SEO. Google seems to have the best index and the fastest service out of them all, as it is a BIG company with probably the most powerful servers on the web hosting its services, I haven't heard of Yahoo. Bing isn't even a competitor and is beneath Yahoo I think, you can't compete with something this settled in and trusted.

Mine would definitely be Google. I do like Yahoo for two things, though. I like Yahoo! Answers, and I also like their Yahoo Mail. I like the way it's set up, and obviously, who doesn't love Yahoo Answers?!

Of course Google is a more reliable search engine than Yahoo. It's the most reliable search engine on the web. People's whole careers are based off of just trying to increase website rankings in Google and for good reason. Check analytics of your websites and I guarantee at least 70% (normally more in my experience) of organic traffic occurs via Google SERPs. Yahoo isn't bad it's just that they have so much other things and didn't start as a search engine primarily, it has a website with features that include a search engine, vs. Google being primarily a search engine with features built around it. Google owns Google (obviously), Youtube, and Blogger/blogspot which are all in the top 20 most popular / highest traffic websites out there. There's no questioning the relevancy of Google, and it remains the most intricate/reliable/powerful search engine on the web.

I prefer Google for my search. I usually find whatever I'm looking for when searching in Google. Technically, Yahoo is no longer a search engine. It's powered by Bing. It's kinda sad. I remember using Yahoo years ago. It wasn't that accurate so I switched to Google. And the rest as they say is history.

Google anyday!
Its not about the just the fast search results. Its about providing quality results that actually add some value!
Recently I heard from somewhere, Yahoo rejected to own Google back in 1997 for $1M, weird but true!

I think of Yahoo as the AOL of search engines. And I refuse the add the exclamation mark! There's so much bloat on their homepage that it just leaves a bad impression in my mind.

It would be interesting to see Google get some real competition, though. It would have to be at the idea level because Google can't be outspent. If a better idea for internet searching were introduced, it would reduce Google to merely copying.

Google is Still The First Choice For Everyone. But Now A Days Now Situation is Changing a Bit .Now People Also Want to rank their Website Keywords on Bing and Yahoo with Google. So Google is the priority but we can't ignore yahoo and bing too.
