Compression Fittings are the connection between two electric pipes or plastic pipes during electrical wiring and plumbing. A compression fitting is used to connect any two pieces of tubes or thin-walled pipes. It is the best practice to use the same material as the pipes to connect them. Compression fittings have two basic types are Type-A or non-manipulative fitting and Type-B or manipulative fittings. The Type-A fittings are easy to install and do not require any modifications. Type-A fittings are used for water connections. Type-A compression fittings are known as olive and can be installed using a common wrench for tightening the surrounding nut. The Type-B fitting requires flaring or belling the tubing. The Type-B fitting is used for gas lines.
