But I am using the free one and didn't spend money on antivirus software ever, becuase the already-powerful free AV software suit my needs for protecting my PC from virus and malware. If you intend to download a free one, I highly recommend Bitdefender which is a good alternative to Kaspersky.

I use symantec. I tried Sophos and MalwareBytes they are also very good. You can try also G Data very good also. Kaspersky and Bitdefender as well. But personally I don't really like them. Consuming a lot of memory.
