I do agree HP provides better hardware than Dell. Recently, I got HP 14-an013nr quad-core processor notebook and believe me it's great.

You should firstly define what kind of your work, so the nes step we can choose one for you. There are a lot of choices for you but I suggest you should choose ASUS becasue they guarantee upto 2 years. I am using 1 for 4 years and it's still work well. I am so satisfied of it!
