What is the Best Alternative to Photoshop?

I like photoshop but it takes forever to use it. What programs are you guys using that you find work better than photoshop?

Photoshop is mother of all Design application, you can't replace it with any other, but you can try Adobe Illustrator

some people like Photoshop, other like Corel Draw... Each of software has its own strengths.
Im only use PTS.

After Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator comes second!! So it's also good for designing purpose. Corel Draw is also good but Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator are better than it.
