It's not so hard to do but it requires a lot of hard work to make your website on top of the search engines. For that, you have to work on link-building daily. It usually takes 3 to 6 months to improve the rank of your website.

SEO it's not hard but tedious. Which makes it hard and annoying. If you are interested in starting your own dream website, make sure that SEO is not the MAIN source of traffic, at least not initially. Reason is it will take you or anyone up to 6 months before you see any decent amount of visitors. It's just Google does things and it's annoying for sure.
