What is "priority" and "frequency" in sitemaps?

Can you discribe what is frequency and Default priority in xml sitemap?

and how can we create xml sitemap for big website (Over 10k pages)

These both terms define the time internal for indexing these website pages.

In short, the settings are hints, not directives. Google MAY consider or disregard the information. I do not place any importance on this information. A properly developed site does not even require a sitemap submission at all. The primary reason I submit sitemaps is the software which creates the HTML sitemap also generates an XML sitemap and it is a one-time setup to automatically submit the sitemap to Google and Bing.

The priority tag is used in XML sitemaps, by the webmaster, to signal the importance of individual pages in the website to Google and other search engines.

In sitemap priority define which webpage should be indexed first while frequency shows after how much time interval these should be index again.
