I confirm! I started a new website and moved my articles from an old site to that new. It took me just a couple of days to start getting traffic from search engines. Things that would be very difficult if I did not get the juice from the old link. Search engine automatically replace the old link on search listings at the same position.301 redirect is a permanent redirect which passes between 90-99% of link juice (ranking power) to the redirected page. 301 refers to the HTTP status code for this type of redirect.
Matt custs also said when we shift to another location then lose 15% of ranking. basically this is permanent redirect of another location. Matt Cutts confirmed this in 2013 when he explained that a 301 loses the exact same amount of PageRank as a link from one page to another.
301 Redirect is a permanent redirect method by which a person visiting an old page (URL) is automatically redirected to a new page (URL). 301 Redirects transfer the domain authority (DA) and page authority (PA) and all the inbound links that the URL had to the new URL. It is used when you change your domain because you want Google to index the new domain while also sending the traffic visiting the old URL to the new one.
