What’s One Parenting Tip That Changed Everything?

Hi everyone,

I want to know how other parents manage screen time for their kids. Do you set strict limits, or do you allow some flexibility? I sometimes feel guilty when I let my child watch TV while I get things done.

How do you find a balance without feeling like a “bad parent”?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I think a lot of us feel this guilt, so you’re definitely not alone.

In our home, we try to focus on balance rather than strict numbers. Some days are more structured, especially on school days, and other days, we allow a little flexibility if I need to get things done. I’ve realized that occasional TV time doesn’t make me a bad parent.

We set clear rules like no screens before school and keeping devices out of bedrooms at night. To feel safer, I sometimes use parental monitoring tools, like TheOneSpy, to ensure the content is safe.

At the end of the day, balance looks different for every family, and giving yourself grace is important, too.
