Google uses an algorithm for positioning of the website in search result this algorithm is called PageRank. This word PageRank is resultant of Larry Page the co-founder of Google. The significance of a website is determined by PageRank.
 
For every web page, Google will give a rank, which is called as Page rank. Normally page rank ranges from 0 – 10. Google Web Search Engine algorithm is responsible for calculating the page rank of every web page.
