Hello all i am a web developer , i have designed most of my sites on xampp and Dreamweaver , with a little knowledge of php , decent jave ant html language. My lack of back end programming language makes me somewhat hesitant to go to WordPress as i have heard much about these sites being hacked or infected.
I understand there are plugins for this, but are they really that effective? Because said hacker will also have access to plugin and see excalty how he is being stopped from accessing whatever he is digging for.
Is it time to accept that this will always be a rising risk in our advancing online world? Surely we cannot hide , our sites , as visibility online is key for whatever you are doing in the eyes of users and of google or whichever search engine you depend on ...
IS it worth ? does anybody reccoment a good security "list" of things to check and do when using WordPress.
