W3C Validation in SEO

The Markup Validation Service is a validator by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) that allows Internet users to check HTML and XHTML documents for well-formed markup. Markup validation is an important step towards ensuring the technical quality of web pages.

W3C validation is the process of checking a websites code to determine if it follows the formatting standards.

W3C Validation tools, validates Html or XHTML markup code with internation web standards. It helps you to determine possible errors in markup code that may cause confusion for search engine and results into slow or no search engine crawling.

W3C Validator doesn't have much to do with SEO.

The Validator checks the HTML or CSS code of a site and returns a report of mistakes in the code, where the code doesn't follow the standard of HTML or CSS.

It doesn't give any ranking of the search engine optimization (SEO). Valid code is always better than code with mistakes, but I doubt that code validity has any significant impact on SERP.
