Hi everyone,
I’ve been experimenting with different AI tools to help small businesses grow online — especially those that don’t have big budgets.
One area I’ve seen good results in is combining AI content tools (like ChatGPT or Jasper) with manual local SEO tactics, such as submitting to free local business directories.
For example, we recently launched a project called TekMag Listings — a free business listing platform designed to help small/local businesses gain visibility and backlinks. After using AI to optimize the business descriptions and category placements, the rankings improved surprisingly fast for some of our users.

Tools used:
- ChatGPT for writing SEO-friendly business bios
- SurferSEO (free version) for content suggestions
- TekMag + Google Business Profile for link diversity
- Screaming Frog for audit
- Google Trends for local search term research
Questions for the community:
- Are you using AI for local SEO content? If yes, which tools?
- Do business directories still matter in your 2025 SEO strategy?
- Any AI-powered backlink tools or tactics you recommend?
Cheers!
Marry
