Traffic Generation

In reference to the opening thread, it would be wise to check out other threads on this forum that revolves around driving traffic to your site. Traffic generation is a popular topic and has been rehashed many times. I'll just provide a couple of ideas that might be helpful in your endeavors.

With that being said, one thing that you can do that will help getting traffic is to signup to websites that offer free classified ads and post information about your site and blog and what it is all about. Many people still do check out classified websites and thus can help bring "some" traffic though it many be minimal.

Something else that can be helpful is using PPC. Pay per click advertising programs such as Google AdWords or Bing Ads is definitely a method that brings traffic. But something to keep in mind, is that using theses PPC programs can drive a lot of traffic if done correctly, but there is a cost involved and if you are not careful, it can empty your bank account. Obviously with PPC advertising a lot of patience, diligence and analytical data must be considered in order to have a clear understanding on what words to focus on in order to be cost effective and beneficial. Traffic will come but at a cost. Therefore just be careful.

Another option to put into practice that is to you read about Search engine optimization. Seo and knowledge of it can be a "force" in bringing traffic but it requires a lot of patience and study. More info regarding Seo and how it can help you with traffic generation be found at How Search Engines Work - The Beginners Guide to SEO - Moz

Hopefully the above words will be helpful in your goal for generating traffic on your website.

I have some suggestion which works very well for getting traffic on your blog. 1. Include links to other relevant posts on your blog 2. Guest post on relevant blogs 3. Become a columnist or contributor on a well-known website 4. Optimize your existing posts 5. Demote irrelevant Google sitelinks.
