I don't thing it is matter because if you are going to make a brand then you can not put your targeted keyword on your Domain name.
for example "Amazon", "snapdeal", "Myntra"
Here you can see they are not using any kind of keyword on his domain but they are in top of all keyword.

I don't think the domain name is matter.
I have ranked Voxya.com website which consumer forum.
keyword "Online Consumer Forum", "Online Consumer Court" and many more in first page SERP.
Here domain name is not matched with keywords or landing URLS.
