Search Engine Optimization is process of increasing the page rank of a website..When page rank increases the traffic(visitors) of the site increases..I have a website of my own and i can make use of SEO service with the help of XnYnZ.com where numerous services are offered.
 
There's a lot of basics in search engine optimization, but I'll keep it simple. Focus on creating unique and quality content for your websites, research keywords that generate lot's of traffic for your niche in search engines like Google, Bing...etc, and use those keywords in your content without spamming. Quality is the key.
 
SEO is about what you do to get your website visible on the first few pages of the results of the Search Engines. You do need to find the keywords that you want to work upon and then optimize your site on them. You might also add more content using these keywords and also try to get more traffic
