If you want a free solution on how to speed up your website, and even secure it too, try using Cloudflare! It's a kind of CDN which speeds up the loading of your website, which is crucial in the eyes of Google, and it will also secure your website from basic hacking attempts. You can also install some cool plug-ins for your website using Cloudflare.

DarkRepulser cloudflare is a good option but not always the best option as it does not work well with the web sites that has pages generated dynamically. In dynamic page generation case as there would be no advantage and in fact disadvantage of using cloudflare as there would an extra layer now involved between server and end user or visitor which slow up website loading. With normal website cloudflare is good at optimizing them and as far as security of a website is concerned Cloudflare also performs well and helps in reducing bots and other bad engines to access website. There fore it is a good way to secure and optimize the websites but not in all cases.

There is! I reckon you could disable specific optimization services and add exceptions, so it would work better with your website. Maybe not perfect, but it's a start. The minifying feature of Cloudflare is one of the first things that come to my mind that doesn't interfere with dynamic websites.

I didn't have much success with any CDN network to date. I think it might have something to do with the built in caching features already in my current theme. The only thing that has worked somewhat for me was another plugin called Hypercache.

I am using Cloudflare and I can say that it mostly works for Wordpress sites that I have created.
Other CMS doesnt work well and it just doesnt load that fast.
So if you are on wordpress, better use Cloudflare along with W3 Total Cache and youll see a huge difference in speed!
This is just base on my experience and personal test for my websites.
