Reputation management or Brand Reputation Management is the practice of influencing an individual or business' reputation through social media sites. It was originally coined as a public relations term, but advancement in computing, the internet and social media made it primarily an issue of search results.
 
Of course, the Computers and the Internet are major players today and definitely with the rise and availability of vast audiences on the Social Media sites, many have found that these are the right places to be when you want your organization or even you as a person to become known as an authority in your niche. Though personally, I still shy away from most of these social media sites, yet, I do know that I am missing out a lot when it comes to building a brand or becoming known as a person of repute.
 
Yes, maintaining personal and professional reputation is a compulsory of today's internet marketing activities. No doubt, negative reviews heavily influences the customers to stay away from this. In this way it is very necessary to maintain online reputation for your company.
