Nofollow – A way to link to another website that you do not want pass SEO credit to. Do not ever use nofollow when linking to internal pages in your website. Use it when linking to external websites and pages that you don’t want to endorse.

No nofollow links is a good way to get your website or blog penalized. If you don't have any backlinks on nofollow websites, Google will know you're using some sort of blackhat method, even if you're doing everything legitimately. There's a certain percentage to how many nofollow links you need to have on your website, and that is usually around 16-24 percent. Anything below that will trigger Google's red flags, and anything above that will not.

Nofollow links are really indispensable to stay in good books of Google. You need a good balance between nofollow and dofollow backlinks to rank well in Google.

No fallow links are non crawling link they will not pass link juice and hence it can't be indexed by search engine bots.:)

no follow link are used in combination with do follow link, over optimizing your website is not a good option so people use combination of different link so make their practice human thing not posted by automatic post and link making

No follow links are the links that do not give any value or authority to the target site. But it is important to have some backlinks for a site as per Google new updates & guidelines.

Yep, nofollow links are absolutely essential to stay in the good books of Google. If you have all dofollow links, it will look artificial and will end up hurting your website's ranking.

nofollow is a value that can be assigned to the rel attribute of an HTML a element to instruct some search engines that the hyperlink should not influence the ranking of the link's target in the search engine's index. It is intended to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of internet advertising because their search algorithm depends heavily on the number of links to a website when determining which websites should be listed in what order in their search results for any given term. However, new information suggests that search engines will depend less on links in the future and more on other aspects[citation needed].
