A link farm is a group of websites where every website links to every other website, with the purpose of artificially increasing the PageRank of all the sites in the farm. This practice was effective in the early days of search engines, but today they are seeing as a spamming technique (and thus can get you penalized).
Hi Michael! can you give me the example of Link Farm because many times there are a group of directories there PR is good but have refers to each other and give easily back links and we can get near about 50 back links from there, is it link farm?
This is a new form of link farm and will be frown by search engine later, once they discover those directories tactics

I need some clarification, what is the different between link wheel and link farm? both are same meaning.
In link farm we get links from others group of sites while in link wheel can create back links from our blogs and web 2.0 sites in a different manner.

link farms are considered spam and won't do any good to ur blog so stay away from it. link farms were famous back then where it helps the site ranks better but not it is harmful since google has tweaked their SE to hate linkfarms.
