Light Tint For Summer Driving

Has anyone chosen a lighter tint because the cabin gets too hot in summer, but they did not want the car to look overly dark? I am trying to keep the finish subtle while still making daily driving more comfortable in strong sunlight.

I went for a lighter shade on my hatchback because the heat on afternoon drives was starting to bother me more than the look of the glass. After comparing a few sample strips outside, car window tint made the most sense in a medium tone rather than the darkest option. The cabin felt calmer on sunny roads, and I could still see clearly through the side windows at dusk. It ended up looking close to factory privacy glass, which suited the car better than a heavy black finish.
