Is Yahoo Underrated?

It seems like everyone...EVERYONE is mostly worried about Google. That's pretty understandable because of its immense popularity, but do you think that people give Yahoo enough credit? How important do you think SEO for Yahoo is?

I don't think Yahoo is underrated as a search engine. Google is really the top one and deserves majority of the focus, in my opinion. If ever it were underrated, I'd say it would be just in very specific countries or specific industries depending on your target. But as for a general sense, I think Google is really where the focus should be, no question. I do like Yahoo as a company and like the services they provide however, like Yahoo! News and Yahoo! Answers, but as a search engine, I have a hard time imagining why anyone would choose to use it over Google.

Yahoo is not underrated but since Google has the maximum share of search traffic webmaster gives it more preference and less preference to Yahoo as it shares less traffic to sites. If more people start using Yahoo, webmasters will also start giving more preference to Yahoo. That would take more effort/money/strategy by Yahoo to make more people use Yahoo to search.

Thanks for the tips, ya'll. I personally use Google myself, but I just didn't know if anyone ever used Yahoo anymore. :)

Yahoo as a search engine has come and gone. Yahoo doesn't really do search. Its search engine is now powered by Bing. I still like Yahoo as a news site. I had an email address on Yahoo, but it got overrun with spam and I abandoned it. It was my very first email address, but I haven't checked it in years.
