Is SEO Dead after Google pigeon Update 2014?

Internet users, when finding info on the Internet, would trust natural search engine results more than the results suggested by adwords. Therefore, SEO can not be dead. It only evolves.
 
Pigeon Updates changes mainly seen in Google map search results and web search result. it does impact local search results rankings and some local businesses may notice an increase or decrease in web site referrals, leads and business from the change.
Fake business listing get harm by this update.

SEO is a broad field not only business listing, its never gonna die.

SEO is not dead, after each algorithm update its way of promotion changes.
