Please tell me what do you think of registration of websites without privacy or with privacy. I mean what will be pros and cons of both of situations and its impacts for your online business. Once i purchased a domain without privacy but end up getting a lot of spam and junk so made it private then. On the other hand other people have told me that domains with a physical address and without privacy are more prone to perform better in when SEO is considered.

Please tell me and share your thoughts on this with me and also share your real experiences.

I don't think domain privacy affects SEO. I buy my domains through Namecheap and the first year comes with free privacy protection for a year. I wouldn't purchase it separately though. The only downside is that I get junk mail from a company called Domain Registry of America (I think). I bet the trick a lot of people into paying a $35 domain renewal fee. Ouch!

I prefer to keep it private so people don't get my full name, address and phone number. It will help stopping identify theft.

I also keep my Whois hidden from others, Namecheap provides free Whois protection for 1 year if you purchase a domain from them. It doesn't affect SEO, from what I've seen.

WhoIs privacy effects nothing but whom can see information about the owner of the site, that's fine if you're a corporation and you can provide a building address and office number, but for private owners such as myself, it's best to keep your WhoIs private or you may get calls and letters from complete strangers!

I've never hidden mine, I've never had any problems but maybe I should make it private? Is it possible to set it as private once the domain is registered?

I've hidden a few of mine but only if they were free, I've gotten some high recommendations to hide mine at the moment due to the fact that I own a forum. It is possible to set it private after the domain is registered but it typically costs around $10-11

Domain privacy has no affect on SEO, but it's still good to have, unless you want your information available to the public. I personally get domain privacy for all my domains, because I cannot risk having random people contact me or knowing where I live.

Domain privacy is not a bad idea but it can turn around and hurt out depending on what kind of business you run online and how the potential clients thinks about you based of your content on the site. Hiding your info can make you look like you are trying to hide and scam someone which may not be the case fro you. There are some internet gurus who are totally against hiding the domain and some are for it. I do hide some of my info depending on the kind of site I have.

As to my point registering a domain privately may hide your personal information but as you have mentioned you are doing online business, it is advised to not register your domain privately. It may affect your business and profit.
I usually do whois search with the help of WhoisXY.com where information like address, number etc are provided.

For an online business, we must need to use good domain and hosting but honestly speaking we can make more money by trading Forex as there is no boundary to make money. To do Forex trading we can easily choose FreshForex broker since they are now giving the most flexible facilities.
