If the website host closes down..

What happens to your website if the business hosting your website goes into administration or suddenly closes down. Does this mean you will lose your website unless you have an offsite backup you can upload to another website host?

Good point, I assume it's all lost and you'll have to rely on your own backups.

that is also my question but I guess put the content on another server and edit your DNS configuration to point to the IP address of the new server.

It’s a website owner’s worst nightmare.
When you own a website for any length of time, downtime is unavoidable: it will happen sooner or later.
