How to keep yourself away from bad people/bad company ?

In regards to the opening thread, as a family head I am always concerned about my family staying away from "bad people". Therefore something that comes to mind that I personally consider very helpful is an old "proverb" that states:

The one walking with the wise will become wise,
But the one who has dealings with the stupid will fare badly.

Another ancient Proverb that comes to mind is:

As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens his friend.

In other words, make sure you associate and hang around with "good people" and they will help guide you.
