While finalizing the keyword, which all things need to be considered? Keywords with high monthly searches should be selected or keyword with low and medium searches?

Other than monthly searches, which things need to be considered?

Long tail keywords with medium competition and a little less searches. More monthly searches can take more time to rank to the keywords.
