how can we identify the type of cms?

Hi friends,
I have a new project but don't know which cms is used for it. Can any one tell me how we can recognize the cms?

There's a Firefox add-on called Wappalyzer, that analyzes the back-end technologie used by the website you are visiting. It detects most CMS like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, many more. If the site uses a custom coded CMS then it will not be identified.

Having said that, you say you have a new project, if you are going to be working on a CMS you will need to know the admin login URL as well as the admin username and P/W, your client should supply you with that information.

You can identify the CMS of a website through a website only.
