Google+ commenting for Blogger

I have noticed that now Blogger offers users the option to use Google+ commenting in place of the Blogger commenting form we have always been using. All your comments will be through G+ on your blog with it. I decided to try it today and I like it, but not sure if it will work as well as I hoped. It is supposed to help spread the word when people comment it publishes to G+. The only real disadvantage so far is that people have to have a Google+ profile in order to comment on your blog with this commenting platform. I think it would be great if we could mix the Blogger AND Google+ commenting together so that people could comment if they do not have a profile.

Have you tried this yet? If so, what do you think about it?

I agree. I hope they never completely take out the Blogger commenting option, as most of my comments are from anonymous readers who probably will stop commenting if they had to login to G+ every time to do so. I have yet to try it, but I suppose it would be a nice addition to the existing functions, and will also probably help increase activity. I'm going to have to look into this and see if I can incorporate it into my blog and test it out for myself. Thanks for the share!

I notice there is an option to stay with the regular commenting through Blogger platform or you can opt to have the Google+ commenting. But if you go with the Google+ commenting, your readers have to have a profile on G+ to comment. I don't mind no anonymous comments anymore, all of my anonymous comments were spamsters.

I suppose anonymous comments tend to get out of hand as your blog becomes more popular. Unfortunately, my blog is not yet popular enough to warrant these problems, so I mostly still am not fed up with anonymous comments since they are all pretty much still good contributions instead of spam. I can only hope that Google will find a good middle ground for both so we don't have to choose if ever they fully and permanently integrate this feature in the future, which I suspect they will.

Yeah my anonymous ones are always spam. They are just dropping a link with the "my webpage ..." or "visit my webpage ..." so I really don't want anonymous on my blog. If there was a way to block only anonymous without affecting legitimate people, I would have been happy with that.

Its a nice move to implement google plus in commenting. But I still think Google + haven't grown up as a highly influencial social network. While socializing my blog posts I only consider grown up networks like facebook, twitter etc.

Blogger is a Google product so as far as I know you are not able to use a Facebook comments on Blogger. They enabled Google+ and I have been trying it out to see. I like Google+ better then Facebook and a lot better then Twitter tho personally. I have found the interaction to be better with G+ then the other sites.
