What is the best gift to choose to give a kid that give him a feeling of love & personal affection? Share your ideas, suggestions & views for best gift for kids.
 
Honestly it depends on what the kid is into. As for myself I have a small 9 year old cousin who shares a love of star wars with me. For Halloween I dress up as Darth Maul and he loves it. This past June was his birthday and I got him a singular red lightsaber and asked him if he wanted to be Darth Vader to my Darth Maul. After jumping up and down for a solid 10 minutes he said he wanted to and that just warms my heart that his love for a hobby of mine is something we can share.
 
Want to try something that costs very little but is full of love and affection? Take the kid to the beach or the riverside, whichever is nearer. Go just before dawn or just before sunset, depending on what you can see from the beach or riverside. Sit down together somewhere nice and warm. And mosquito-free, too, if those pesky bugs are around. Watch the sunrise or sunset together. No words needed. The sunrise or sunset speaks volumes by themselves. It will be a memory that the two of you will cherish for years and years to come.
 
I would suggest giving comic books or something like it, even digital ones. I think comic books are a great way to sharpen a child's imagination and also it teaches a lot more than adults give them credit for such as spelling and grammar. I know I learned a lot more about the English language from reading a bunch of comic books throughout my childhood, probably even more than what I learned in school.

Before we gift we often review the gift before hand. Toys seem to be the best gift when it comes to kids. I think there is an over emphasis on giving toys to kids. Yes, kids love toys. However, what I see are toys which do not promote any kind of creativity in kids. I see toys which are popular because of tv shows. I see toys which kids get bored with after just a few days. Then they want new toys. Maybe that's what it's all about. Getting the parents to spend more money buying toys.
