Facebook Marketing Strategy For Small Business

What can be a good Strategy to be successful on Facebook. We are a small business and sell used cars. Our competitors are getting much business through Facebook but till now we are not successful in achieving any success on Facebook front. We haven't really worked hard to achieve success on Facebook but now we are poised to bring more efforts in marketing through Facebook. So here are the questions which we have in mind
1. How should we start working on Facebook. Is it all about making more fans or is it some thing else.
2. We don't have a facebook page yet how we would make our Facebook page in a professional manner and do we need a professional for this or can we do it ourselves.
3. After doing the above two tasks we would also like to integrate facebook activities on our website pages how would we do this.

The points that i just wrote are in my mind and there may be many things which are missing In my Facebook Marketing Strategy. Please remember that we are a small business so we cannot hire services of another company. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
 
Create a Fanpage or Business page on Facebook.
Post images of cars.
Make more friends and groups there
Share posts to get likes.
Share link of Used car pages to get more visitors.
 
Get your customer to like you on facebook for discounts to start getting people onto it, then post good content and updates to keep people informed and don't make it look like a sales page.
 
As the previous posters have stated, it is quite possible for you to achieve plenty traffic on Facebook. It is quite possible to do it yourself, also. More fans will mean even more fans when you're working with Facebook. Best of luck to ya!

I agree with houck for discount option, business use this techniques to increase their social influences, so you also use this type of techniques. But first of all you need to create FB page and add like option in your website, with discount message ( if you like our page, you get so and so discount on new purchase). Also if you have targeted you business in particular geo-location ( country, state or city), then in facebook, their is a lot of groups ( geo-location), you can add this groups and promote your business on their. In these groups allmost all local people join these and you get good business form their.
