Hi everyone! I love trying out new creative software and streaming services, but I hate that they always put me on a permanent marketing list after the trial ends. How do you guys test out these services without getting stuck in their email funnel forever?

I am a huge fan of free trials too, but the follow-up spam is definitely the worst part of the deal. My secret is that I never give them my actual address for a test run. I always go to a temp box and grab a throwaway address instead. I have been using TempBox for all my software trials lately. It works perfectly because the verification codes show up right away. If I end up loving the service, I can update my profile with my real email later. If not, the account just expires and I never hear from them again. It is the smartest way to keep your primary mail clean while still enjoying all those free perks.

It’s all about keeping control over your inbox while still exploring new tools—just like when you check out platforms or apps, you can always visit now resources you trust without worrying about long-term spam.
I totally get that—it’s frustrating when a simple trial turns into endless emails. What usually works for me is using a secondary email address just for sign-ups, so my main inbox stays clean. You can also unsubscribe right after registering or use email filters to automatically sort or block promotional messages. Some people even use temporary email services if they just want to test things quickly.
