Do You Think Facebook Marketing Has a Future?

When Myspace first came out, it was immensely popular and game-changing, really. Now, I know Facebook is much, much more popular now than Myspace ever was, but do you think Facebook will eventually fall off as well?

Although I do appreciate the marketing that can come from Facebook, I have to say that I feel a lot of irritation toward the site in general. It's so overrated, and the whole Facebook thing has gone too far in my opinion.

No matter how popular facebook is, it will still fall just like the rest that has gone now. I'm fed up with all those status actually and I get to login almost just twice a week. I feel like facebook marketing only work if you get to have tons of friends and likes which I think will frustrate newbies like me.

I do have around 400+ likes in my pages but seem not getting much traffic. Advertising in facebook will not work as my friend who have tried it said unless you promote games and nudity lol

No. There was a study conducted about Facebook right before it went public that said a huge majority of users to not pay attention to the ads, and almost 50% of users did not even know there were ads on Facebook.

Wow, thanks for the statistics, Kina. I don't just mean Facebook ads, though. I was wondering about promoting your site/blog by building a fan page, etc. I don't think I would ever purchase Facebook ads for any site, but I have toyed around with the idea of building a following...

Nowadays most of the facebook ads not lead to conversion rate, but it's has a lot of future to promote a brand by using free facebook promotions such as SMO and SMM.

No doubt, because Facebook is the biggest and popular social networking plate-forum. So when there is Facebook, there will be marketing on it.

Business can be promoted through Facebook, I don't know about ads. It will reach large number of people when promoted through social media sites.

Facebook will definitely crumble just like Myspace did, but it's most likely going to last significantly longer than Myspace. There are still millions of users using Facebook today, and it's going to be a few years before another social media website like Twitter or Google+ will pass Facebook.
