Contextual Link Building is to create backlinks using content, keyword put into the content and hyper-linked pointing to the target site. Blog posts and Article marketing are the best examples of Contextual Links where we create backlinks with in the content.

This technique must be viewed in a broader perspective. It's not enough to have links back to your site. It's also important that the links come from relevant content. Let's say your site is about motorcycles. Then you submit an article to an articles directory. About roses. And in the article about roses, somehow you manage to create a link back to your site. About motorcycles. Isn't that simply incongruous?

Victor Leigh is true Contextual links must be in relevant to your website theme and Contextual links looks natural to Google and other search engines that's why search engines LOVE contextual links.

Contextual links are always powerful weather on niche related or not. Contextual link building is also one type of link building, which intended to be more 'natural' in the eye of Google. For example the link we get to read in Blog post may be contextual link as well.

Contextual backlinks are links to external websites that are placed within the main or primary content of a web page. Contextual backlinks come naturally within content. They are not links that are placed within the navigation, sidebars, widgets, footer or ads

Contextual backlinks are those that are built from an existing content on a webpage. These backlinks are very helpful to build your keyword ranking higher in search engines and also increases the domain trust online.
