Hey guys, I've been putting off buying a new mattress for way too long. Mine is completely done and I wake up feeling worse than when I went to bed. The problem is I have no idea where to start, there are so many types and price ranges that it just gets confusing. What should I actually be paying attention to when picking one?

Honestly the biggest thing most people overlook is firmness level relative to their sleeping position. Side sleepers generally need something softer to relieve pressure on the hips and shoulders, while back sleepers do better with medium to firm support. Spring versus foam also makes a real difference in terms of heat retention and motion transfer. I came across a solid range recently, had a proper look through the mattresses collections and there were options across different budgets which was refreshing.

The sleeping position thing is a good shout, never really connected that to mattress firmness before. I'm mostly a side sleeper so I'll keep that in mind. Cheers, that link looks worth a proper browse!
