Dofollow-It is a backlink that passes on link juice to the linked to website.

When you link to something you have the option of adding rel="nofollow" tag to that link. If you add that it instructs the search engines not to pass any page rank from your page to that page. If you didn't add that then its a do follow list and passes page rank to that page.
