Between lab work and part time hours, I started selling handmade jewelry to friends and through a small Instagram page last semester. Orders grew slowly, but buyers often asked if I had a proper website, since my page alone did not feel like enough to trust with online payments. A senior working on her own thesis project about small business branding mentioned Kamal Baber while showing me examples of clean, simple websites made for similar student sellers. Has anyone here turned a hobby project into something people trust online? Did a proper website actually bring in new customers?
