Broad Match is one of three keyword match types on Google and Bing's paid search programs. The other two are Phrase Match and Exact Match. Exact Match is the easiest of the bunch, it simply means the keyword phrase as is, in the exact order, with no additional words within, before or after. Phrase match is similar, but can include some words before or after the phrase, which still must be in the same order. Broad Match is the most general of the bunch, and allows Google to match semantically similar keyword phrases.
