Best Blogging Site for Passive Income ?

Hi,

Many people are interested in starting a blog with the intention of earning some passive income through it, myself being one of them. I have read a lot of favorable reviews about blogger and have been leaning in that direction. Especially due to the fact that it appears very easy to monetize a blog there. Which site would you recommend to start a blog at ?

Regards,
Kiarnan

I started blogging through Blogger just like you. However, I jumped ship into Weebly, another free blogging website, because I found it more easier to create, design, and monetize my websites with their interface. I'm not a very good coder and I find html customization to be very head-wrecking that's why I fell in love more with Weebly's built-in website creator.

If you still haven't invested much time in your blogger websites, then checking out Weebly might be a good idea.

Not so fast! LOL

You might not earn from these pages just as you thought because they don't really rank, in fact I haven't seen one weebly blog that ranks on search engines. What you should be doing if your aim is to earn is to use squidoo lense, squidoo don't just let you earn through adsense but also through affialite marketing via ebay and amazon.

Just when you make an article in squidoo, you get the chance to insert your ebay and amazon affiliates inside the article's body making it visible for your readers and to those potential buyers.

Just because you haven't seen a Weebly website rank doesn't mean that they don't rank that well compared to other sites. It just so happens that there are only a few people who are using their service because most opt for Blogger. I would just like to clarify that the hosting used won't affect the ranking of your blog. Using wordpress, weebly, or blogger won't have any positive or negative effect on the seo of your website if that's what you are saying.

In fact, web2.0 websites such as Squidoo and Hubpages are the ones who lost some relevance in Google search. You won't notice it yet because many people are using them and there are web2.0 pages that have been greatly seo'ed by their writers.

If you really want to earn money then dump free websites and buy your own hosting and domain instead. That's the best advice that I can give. garfish, try to do a quick search at Google if you don't believe me. I would also suggest that you join the warriorforum so that you can ask directly from the pros. One more advice though, research first before saying something because you might give the wrong information to the other members of the forum.

The best blogging CMS for about anything is Wordpress. It's highly customizable and has a lot of nifty plug-ins. Don't forget to mention that you can install a pre-made theme and already have everything setup to make money within a few hours.

Thank you for all of the replies. It looks like there are a wide range if opinions within the community here as to which site is the best for blogging with the intention of monetizing the content. I'll have to look into each of the ones mentioned. Weebly sounds interesting. I might have to check that site out. Thanks again for the replies!

I agree with DarkRepulser. I have been using Wordpress for a couple years now and it has been trouble and worry free. Their CMS is very easy to use and adding and editing blogs is a breeze. I also agree that you should buy your own domain as you can get one for less than $20 a year and if you are writing good content you should make that back just through ads.

WordPress hands down, not only because of it's high PR and simplicity of use but also because when you choose to make a your own blog or website you will already have a grip on the interface, widgets and other technical stuff.

Not to mention that WordPress is the site with the most traffic of them all so the number of organic visits from the WordPress community itself will be pretty high.

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I wanted to learn how to make some passive money from blogging- much like you. I went on a hunt to find some good websites. I first heard of blogger, wordpress and the other basic websites that many people use. But I wanted to earn some money quickly, and not wait for the adsence dollars to kick in. I found a website called Bubblews (Bubblews - Speak Freely. Write Your World.). It is a blogging website that pays you one cent per view, like, and comment posted on your blog. You can post up to ten blogs per day on it. I did some poking around and found that some people picked up an extra 200 dollars per month just from Bubblews. I then used it and I was impressed with how easy it was.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion, your experience could be different.

Hope you found this helpful!

I would have to go with Wordpress or Weebly. Both are user-friendly with ease-of-use. I think they would both be perfect for a beginner or an expert!

I'd just go with Blogger. Honestly, I don't think it even makes that much of a difference where you choose to host your blog, and blogger certainly makes it very easy. As for designing and customization, there are loads of free templates around so you don't have to worry. I've only ever used blogger and I'm so used to it that it's so easy for me to set up and monetize, so I'd definitely recommend that, but I would also suggest for you to test everything out first if it's really important for you to find out for yourself. In the end, I think it just might be a matter of personal preference and not really about which would be better than the other.

I have a blog at the Yola site. I am still a free member of Yola. I would like to begin blogging for a passive income also. My blog is fairly new, though and most of the places I checked out the blog needs to be at least ninety days old. I would use Blogger, but you cannot upload an HTML code. the ad service I use requires an HTML code to be used.

If you are talking about a free blogging host, then I would recommend using both Wordpress and Blogger. Publish content on one. Re-write the same article and publish it on the other. Two birds with one stone. If you are talking about a paid blogging host, there are lots available. As to what is the best, I would say it boils down to how good your content is. If it's just run-of-the-mill content, then expect run-of-the-mill income.

I've heard a lot of people talking positive about InfoBarrel as a good source of passive income. If you don't know what that it, it is essentially a revenue sharing site where you publish articles and you receive a percent of any revenue they create. If you search Google you will find people over $1,000 a month from this site, although they are prolific article creators.

If you use Wordpress to make a blog and add on some other passive income methods, you will be making that passive income you look for. Basically, you could make a wordpress and use PayPerPost, Adfly, Hitleap, Google Adsense, etc with it to try to make some form of income. Good luck in trying and enjoy!

I think, before deciding anything else, one thing you should be confident and firm for, your niche!

You should select one in order to go ahead with the posts you want to do regarding the same topic.
This will help keeping the unique nature of your posts intact. Eventually, attracting more visitors and traffic to your blog!

I have been using blogger platform for two years. I have tried Wordpress but I didn't like its complex (atleast for me) interface and implementations. Now reading your reply I am prompted to try out weebly for blogging.

I would like to recommend that you check out some free website builders. There are many great options which you can easily use to get the best bloggind website for you. Have a look at this website builder comparison. I found one for me there, and I am really happy with everything, good luck with it!
