Advice needed: Buying a car in Dubai as an expat

Hi guys, I'm a first-time car buyer in the UAE and I'm feeling a bit lost. I’ve heard mixed things about buying from private sellers versus showrooms. Since I don't know much about mechanics, I’m leaning towards a showroom just for the peace of mind, but I don't want to pay a massive premium. Is it possible to find a middle ground? I need something reliable for my daily commute to Sharjah, probably a mid-sized sedan or a crossover. Are there any specific dealers that are known for being expat-friendly and helping with the bank financing part of the deal?

Buying your first car here is a bit of a rite of passage! For a first-timer, I’d definitely suggest a reputable showroom over a private seller because the RTA transfer and financing can be a headache to do on your own. Most showrooms have "fixers" who handle the bank and insurance paperwork for you. I’ve seen some good deals coming out of Ayoon Al Hoot Motors lately; they have a decent variety of cars that aren't overpriced. You can browse their current listings here: https://auto.ae/ayoonalhootmotors They usually have a good range of Japanese and German cars which are perfect for that long Sharjah commute since they hold their value well and the AC is usually strong enough for our summers. Give them a look!

I appreciate the advice, I’ll check their site and see if they have any Camrys or Altimas in stock!
