Recently i got an email from adBrite that they have suspended their operations and will be closing down their business. In their email they mentioned that they will be suspending their business due to some liabilities and current market situation and their management have decided that they will no longer be in business.

I was using adbrite to monetize my websites please tell me now what the way forward for me and which platform should i shift now.

Wow, that's interesting- I wasn't aware of this. I used AdBrite years ago and always found it a little lackluster. Low CPC, questionable advertisers. They also didn't seem to have any oversight on protecting click fraud.

I've used them in the past as well, for advertising. It was somewhat of an interesting idea, as you could purchase blocks of ad inventories from individual sites. On one hand, you knew the exact sites you were showing up on at all times - unlike the Content Network on AdWords, where you find out after the fact. But it was also a bit cumbersome to go through all of the listed sites to find the best ones to advertise on. Conversion rates varied and were generally poor to mediocre overall. This might not have necessarily been the fault of the sites themselves, but rather the wasted impressions due to displaying your ads to the same people over and over again.

In my opinion, closing of adbrite is not an issue for the publishers. The earnings from adbrite was negligible for most of the small publishers. There are many alternatives, which are lot better than adbrite. Ad networks like Chitika, bidvertiser, clicksor etc can be the good alternative.

If you have a big website then getting accepted with buysellads will be the best but if you have small website then you can try publicityclerks they accept sites with 5000 per month impression.
