Any Good Free Web Editor/Designing Tools Like Dreamweaver?

I am quite on a tight budget right now and I really need Dreamweaver since I am not really a good web designer.
Since im short on dough, are there any other similar software to Dreamweaver that is free?
Basically something that looks more of Dreamweavers interface and functions so I wouldnt get confused which will take a lot of my time learning it.
If not any freeware would do.

Microsoft is giving away Expression Web for free now. They stopped developing it recently and just made it available to the general public. Back when it first came out, I think it was trying to be a Dreamweaver competitor. It's not exactly the same as DW, but it did get some decent reviews.

Thanks for the info! I will definitely have a look at it.
My main concern now is since they already stopped the development of it then there would be no support at all?
If everything works the way I wanted to and anticipate it, support doesnt even matter unless there'll be major errors occurring from this software.

I tried out Expression Web, and personally I didn't really care for it. I found it a bit confusing to use.

There is another open source freeware web design tool called Brackets (Brackets). Adobe has even gotten on board with Brackets and have been developing their own version of it concurrently called Adobe Edge Code. It's primarily geared towards coders through, so it's not going to have all the visual bells and whistles like Dreamweaver to build your sites. But it is great for code hinting, color coding various pieces of code, etc... I think future versions of it will even be able to open Photoshop files and give you specs on layouts designed in Photoshop, such as fonts, spacing, and more.

As a DW user the main nice to have is the autocomplete feature. I know that's stopped from me banging my head more than once. Does Brackets offer that? I wonder if Adobe is going to be buying it out or just trying to run them out of town with Edge?

I would highly recommend NotePad++ as it is great for HTML and CSS. Has some good plugins too that are available for free. And you can extend it to write javascript, php and lot more. Of course, as it is free, it would be highly unethical to compare it with applications that cost you several hundreds of dollars like DW.
