How do I add my own avatar?

I go to "edit avatar" and I can see the stock avatars that are available, but I would like to upload my own and I don't see an interface where I can upload my own image.

Glad to know it's not just me! I'm guessing that the spongebob avatar is one of the pre-defined choices?

Admin might have disabled that function.

Yeah it might be disabled. I just spend 20 minutes trying to figure it out too.
