Wordpress Google XML Sitemaps Plugin

Have any one of you ever used Google XML sitemaps plugin on your wordpress website and if yes than did you notice any good or bad thing happening with SEO and traffic on the wordpress blog
 
I use the plugin all the time and I haven't faced any problems till now. You have to remember that while sitemaps can help search engines to discover all the pages of your site, the crawlers are capable of discovering content even if you don't submit a sitemap. It might just take a bit longer to get your site indexed but it would definitely happen over a period of time.
 
I've been using it, but I don't like how adds the lists of keywords, etc. to the page in the dashboard where all your posts are listed. It really affects the listings, making the title field really narrow so each post takes up a lot of vertical space. Is there any way to disable that?
