Why the fear of cloud computing?

I have more and more people tell me that they are afraid of cloud computing because they feel like their information is easeir to steal. What is the difference between having your important stuff 'in the clouds' than creading a secret log-in password on virtual sites? They can be stolen just as easily. There is no way to do online banking without creating a user name and password. I don't understand people's logic sometimes.

As per my experience, cloud computing is the most effective factor for small enterprises. Those who use the cloud benefit from enhanced collaboration, improved accessibility, and an efficient, cost-effective way to back up files.
Adoption of cloud computing can come with a series of :
1. Reduced IT costs
2. Scalability
3.Collaboration
4.Flexibility
5.Business continuity

You make a great point. People think once they do not have control over the information it is not as safe. The fact is when you used to have main frames for business at work and everyone used it they were not as safe as cloud computing.

Any place you store information unless it is not connected to internet will always be able to be compromised but if less people control it or have access it is less likely to be compromised. More information has been compromised by employees doing something wrong that any other way.

The old saying was do not say anything you do not want others to hear or read in the paper the same goes for online. Something do not put online and some you have no choice. Most you have no choice but the company that needs that information has to try to keep that information secure.
