What is the trick to designing really attractive websites?

So I know HTML, CSS and how to create a backend(I am a developer). I can play around in photoshop. But I guess I lack something to create a real stunning layout. I end up using something like bootstrap or some template but I feel guilty doing that. How do you learn to create nice original layouts? Is it a talent like music?

As a designer-cum-developer I find myself visiting forums quite frequent, not to chat but rather to check out what’s new, what’s in trend or the hottest topics discussed. Participating in forums discussion not only allows you to share your interest and techniques with fellow peers, but as well as mutually gaining in terms of skills and knowledge. If you want to have a attractive website, you need to pay attention to design factor and content. I think each person will have a different look, so maybe there will not be certain tricks in creating website.

To attract customers use high quality images and catchy titles. Make website responsive as much as possible but in the midst of everything don't forget to minimize the page loading speed because no one likes to wait.
