I have an old pc with these characteristics.

AMD athlon 64x2 Dual Core processor 6000+ at 1,81GHz
2gb of ram
Windows XP, sp 3

My hdd, is at it's end....
It has bad sectors and i'm thinking of leaving it.

i'm thinking of buying a SSD drive and install there windows 7.
What is the minimum requirements for windows 7?

Will the SSD, upgrade good my machine???
Will it be faster?
Is my machine capable of loading and running windows 7?

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver.

Your computer is definitely capable of running Windows 7, and the SSD will improve the performance - especially the boot time. It will actually run on lower specs but the performance will be woefully slow. 2GB RAM is ok, but 4GB would be better. Having an SSD drive should offset having an older computer.
