What is sessions in google analytics?

A session is characterized as a gathering of associations one client takes inside a given time span on your site. Google Analytics defaults that time period to 30 minutes. Meaning whatever a client does on your site (e.g. peruses pages, downloads assets, buys items) before they leave levels with one session.

A session is defined as the group of interactions a user does within a specified time period by your website. For Google Analytics the default time period is 30 minutes, which means whatever activity the user does within that time frame will be considered under one particular session and after that time period is over, a new session is started. You can also modify the session time frame according to some criteria set by Google.
