Paging is used to get a large linear address space without having to buy more physical memory. Segmentation allows programs and data to be broken up into logically independent address spaces and to aid sharing and protection.
page segmentation is a study technique devised by search engines to calculate the importance or relevance of a page to the web. Noise levels are calculated based on the amount of information contained in a website.
An easy example of this can be explained when reading segments such as ‘privacy policy’ and ‘about us’ on a website. Such sections do not really define what a page is about and are hence irrelevant according to search engines.
